Preventing MEB Problems

Course Description:

The goal of this course is to assist prevention providers in understanding the impact of Mental, emotional and behavioral health problems, the factors that contribute to these disorders, and identify prevention practices to successfully intervene with these factors in order to realize the potential to reduce the number of new cases of MEB problems and significantly improve the health of young people.


Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will gain an understanding of the science of preventing MEB problems and promoting mental health.
  • Participants will develop an understanding of the prevalence of MEB health issues/problems.
  • Participants will understand the continuum of care and all components included.
  • Participants will be able to identify MEB problems and risk and protective factors associated with them.
