Active Email Accounts: All users wishing to use the services of eBasedAcademy MUST have a working email account. Free emails services are available through yahoo.com and google.com. Email will be the method by which certificates are provided. If a learner’s email is not working or set to “spam” certain communications, the student will not receive a certificate for course completion. COURSE CERTIFICATES WILL NOT BE MAILED OR FAXED.
Receipt of Certificates: Courses are complete once a user has completed all readings, activities, course quizzes with an overall passing grade of 70%, and the course survey. Lost certificates will not be replaced, so pleas make sure your email settings enable the receipt of mail from ebasedacademy@gmail.com
Quizzes: Each user is able to take course quizzes with two attempts in any given Academy session. If both of those attempts have been used and a passing grade has not been received, the course is no longer available to that user during the session. The user is welcome to retake the course in the following session.
Course Start and Stop Times: eBasedAcademy is open five sessions per year (July 1st - June 30th.). The course start date and close date are clearly posted on the home page. Once the course has closed, there will be no exceptions to doing any type of coursework after the session. Users are welcome to retake the class the following session.
Suspension of Learner Privileges: The eBasedAcademy will make every attempt to satisfactorily meet learner requests. However, if the learner is deemed to be demanding, insistent, or belligerent, he/she will, respectfully, be expelled from the Academy for the duration of two training sessions.
Fees: eBased Academy is free to learners who live or work in Ohio. If you live outside Ohio and would like to take classes there is a fee. Please contact ebasedacademy@gmail.com or call 614-644-2303 for details.
