RCH Letter Designation Summary

RCHs are Recognized Clock Hours that have been approved by the Board for use by applicants and professionals toward their credentialing process. Upon approval of an RCH Program Sponsor Application, the Board will award the program sponsor a Program Identification Number (PID#) along with the number of RCHs to be awarded for attendance.
Training that is appropriate for chemical dependency counselors may not always be appropriate for the prevention field, and the reverse is also true. Therefore, the Board assigns each program with a letter designating approval for CD specific hours (C), prevention hours (P), clinical supervisory hours (S), diagnostic hours (D) and field related hours (R). The letter designation is placed behind the PID number and assists the professional in determining which educational events are appropriate for their credential.
