Bibliotherapy 101: A Conjoint Adolescent Substance AbuseTreatment

What therapeutic technique has been used by therapists/ counselors for the last 95 years that is developmental in nature, is used conjointly with mainstream adolescent treatment programs, focuses upon reading rather than verbal interaction, and shows the therapeutic results to be equal to psychotherapy or drug-related therapies? The answer is "Bibliotherapy." This introductory course will examine this treatment option relative to adolescent substance abuse treatment.
